Questions we hear a lot.

Almost always, yes. Before we take on an existing site we run a quick technical audit to check it’s structurally sound and up to date. If we’re happy to look after it, we’ll quote a plan and handle the migration to our hosting for free. If there’s remedial work needed first — outdated software, broken templates, security issues — we’ll tell you what we found and quote that separately before starting.

The work that keeps a site healthy is mostly invisible when it’s going well — which is the point. Each month we’re applying software updates, monitoring uptime and performance, running backups, checking for malware or spam, and replying to any support emails you send through. Support Plus and The Works clients also get content updates, broken-link checking, and a monthly report summarising what was done.

For small tweaks — swapping a photo, updating your hours, editing staff bios, refreshing pricing, adding a blog post, fixing a typo — just email us and we’ll handle it. Support Plus includes 30 minutes per month of this kind of work, The Works includes an hour. Anything larger, or work that needs new design or development, is billed at your plan’s hourly rate — always quoted up front before we start.

Rare, but it happens. Because we back up every night, a broken site is a rollback away from being undone. On Support Plus and The Works, fixing it is included — we’ll sort it and tell you what went wrong. On Essentials we’ll let you know what’s up and quote any hands-on recovery work before starting. Either way, you’re not stuck dealing with it alone.

Uptime monitoring pings your site constantly, so in most cases we’re already working on it before you’ve noticed. For sites on a care plan, recovery is our job — investigating, restoring from backup, fixing the root cause. Malware cleanups on care plans are included. If your site isn’t on a plan with us yet and something’s already gone wrong, get in touch and we’ll quote the recovery.

Never. All plans are month-to-month and you can cancel, upgrade or downgrade any time. We’d rather earn your ongoing business than trap you in one.
